Jack Simcock (b. 1929)
1929: Born in Biddulph, Staffordshire
1965: Taught at a private school and at Stoke-on-Trent
1967: Retired from teaching
He is noted for his somber landscape of his home village Mow Cop. Due to ill health in 1979 he was forced to stop painting but resumed painting bright coloured abstracts in 1980 these were notable for their show a distinct shift from his rual landscapes.Education
