David Bomberg  (1890 - 1957)

1914: First one man show at the Chenil Gallery included the works The Mud Bath and In the Hold
1915: Exhibited with the Vorticist group
1918-19: produced Sappers at Work for the Canadian War Office
1918-19: As a war artist produced Sappers at Work 1918-9 for the Canadian War Record Office.
1923-27: Worked for the Zionist Organisation in Palestine .
1945-53: Taught at Borough Polytechnic, whilst there formed the Borough Group 1947-9.

1910-11: Studied at the Slade School of Art
pre 1910: Studied at Central School of Art and Westminster School of Art.
