Leeds from the University III by Dennis Creffield


The dome of Leeds Town Hall rises above the mass of buildings, which are worked in heavily emphasised vertical and angular strokes, with rubbing and shading producing a less clearly articulated, fractured series of forms. Areas of rubbing out in the foreground and across the sky produce a tonal effect of softer gradations.
