South Kensington Museum Examination
Study from cast
Students were first given casts of parts of the figure: eyes, noses, feet, before they proceeded to the whole. In 1900 the School had 250 boxes of examination casts including four legs of a greyhound and six eyes from the statue of Michelangelo's David, three right and three left.
