Untitled (after Casper David Friedrich) by Mary McIntyre

There are a synthesis of inferences in Mary McIntyre's photographic images which can be traced to the 19th Century German Romantic paintings and Dutch landscape paintings of Caspar David Friedrich and Jacob Van Ruisael. Incorporating the allegory of traditional painting, McIntyre comments on our current relationship with the industrial and rural landscape.
