Nationality:BritishApproach:Image from story board for screenplay
Bill Beech is an artist-film maker currently Head of the School of Arts and Communication, University of Brighton. Work for film includes the screenplay for 'Silent Scream', 84-min. feature, a BFI/C4/Scottish Film Development Fund production for which Iain Glenn's performance as the poet Larry Winters won the Silver Bear award for best actor in the 1990 Berlin Film Festival. Whilst 'Silent Scream' is regarded as a 'feature film', the script was conceived unconventionally, from the basis of a series of fine art works, drawings and live performances, video and photographic documentation as well as writing made in the Special Unit at Barlinne Prison in Scotland.
